Zeus (Jupiter)

Questions about Zeus, the king of the gods. Also known as Jupiter by the Romans, he was the god of the sky.

Zeus is the King of gods and rules the sky. He is also the owner of the master bolt. He is married to Hera and has many children like Athena and Aphrodite. He is also the brother of Poseidon and Hades.
She is his daughter by Leto, a Titan's daughter.
Zeus is not regarded as being smart. In fact he did some pretty stupid and nasty things, such as throwing Hephaestus, his own son, off of Mount Olympus just for being repulsive!
Zeus was the ancinet Greek god; king of the gods, the god of sky and weather, law, order and fate. Metis a daughter of Oceanus and Thetys was the mother of Athena, she was a Titan goddess of good counsel, advise, planning, cunning, craftiness and wisdom.
Zeus's symbols are the Eagle, lighting bolt, and the scales.
When Zeus was imprisoned by other gods and goddesses (Hera, Poseidon, and Athena), Thetis was the one that ordered Briareus (a hundred-handed monster, son of Poseidon) to the top of Mt. Olympus so that he may have terrified the other gods, causing them to release the chains restraining Zeus.
